Here’s something that just made me laugh out loud in an otherwise quiet Sechelt Public Library. It’s from an email from my little sister who’s been cutting hair in Salmon Arm for about one year now:
“It was a lovely afternoon. I cut my third ever mullet today (I can’t believe there are still people out there who get mullets). It was fun, you can’t really screw up a mullet ha ha oh well he gave me a $10 tip and said he would be back.”
Random enough for you my friend?
Sounds as if your summer is going well. I hope you are less stressed than last time I saw you. There was no time for chatting over a beer, and that’s no good.
I’m firefighting and scraping together a little freelance work here on the Sunshine Coast for the summer. Chainsaws, helicopters, gym routines, fire trucks, old growth forests: It’s a far cry from my arts degree, but the people you meet are pretty interesting.
Let’s keep in touch, ok? Good luck with the show, and tell me if this snippet whips you into a creative frenzy… (this one would be fun to review!)
